The views from this site are outstanding and this low pitch black disconnected home cut into the side of it is how we do it, two similar but offset forms break the living/kids bedrooms away from a private master wing, entry & garage while a third separated form creates a creative woodworking space with the same views from the workbench.

The path of entry disconnects you from the view until you enter thru the linkway and arrive at full heigh glass directing your eyes right over the Waikato surrounds. the use of low maintenance long-run & Larch weatherboard allow this home to blend into the hillside & native Forrest behind.
